Thank you for purchasing our theme. If you have any question not included in this user guide, please open a ticket here http://codespotsupport.com/others/. Thank you so much!
We hope you will enjoy working with our themes.
Yours sincerely, WPDance.
In this user guide, you will find all neccessary information to upload your site and make it run well: including theme installation, setup, and the way to use different post types, page templates and shortcodes.
Attention!!! Kindly note that we cannot support unless you specify your Item Purchase Code. Here's how you can get it: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/item-purchase-code/96457.
Also note that this is combined manual for our multipurpose themes that shares similar back- and front-end features. Therefore, some screenshots, interfaces and features may be slightly different from actual theme that you’ve purchased.
Please note that it is not hard to use this theme rather than any other premium theme with advanced functions. Moreover, we believe that it’s even much easier! And there’s a good reason for that: the amount of time invested in designing its interfaces, page templates and theme options is simply immense…
Nevertheless, please note that this User Guide does NOT cover basic WordPress users. Therefore, if you are not confident of using WordPress, please get accustomed with it BEFORE taking further steps with this manual and theme!
Here are some links that will help you become more confident with WordPress:
Seriously!!! If you do not want to spoil your experience with any Premium Theme, please get accustomed with WordPress basics first!
Our themes are compatible with the WordPress versions 4.8 or later ( PHP 5.2.4 or later, and mysql 5 or later).
Most Browsers enabled with JavaScript will make them work without issues. They are designed and optimized for desktops, tablets and smartphones.
Currently we are testing themes on:
IMPORTANT!!!
Download and Install WordPress 4.7.4 or later.
If you've just downloaded whole theme package (see fig. 1), unzip it. You will find the theme installation file (called like "theme_name_v.zip"), user manual, dummy content folder, license folder, folder with PSD files, etc.
Alternatively you can simply download the installation WordPress file.
You have 2 ways to upload theme:
In "Appearance > Themes > Manage Themes > Available Themes" activate the Theme by clicking on the correspondent "Activate" link.
Attention!!! To make sure your permalinks are being rendered correctly (the web-site does not return "404 Not Found" error) after switching the theme, follow "Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks" and click "Save Changes".
After activating the Theme, you will notice Theme Options and Required Plugins (WPBakery Page Builder, Slider Revolution, WooCommerce, WD Packages, etc...) in your WordPress admin panel.
If you're using FTP client, go to "your_site/wp-content/themes/wpdancelaparis" CHMOD to 777 this folder : cache_theme. You also change CHMOD to 777 for Uploads folder.
Follow steps below to install via WordPress
Please note that some hostings impose restriction on size of a file that you are uploading. If any warnings appear, most probably, your hosting has limit on file size. And the theme .zip file is too large to be uploaded through WordPress Panel.
To solve this problem you should either increase your maximum upload size in your hosting admin panel or try to contact your hosting provider to enable it for you if you do not have right to alter your server php settings. This is a very common request and they should be able to help you out. Once the limit is increased, you can re-try to install and you’ll go ahead well.
Also, you can install the theme via FTP.
Otherwise you can install theme via FTP. Simply unzip the installable file and upload the theme folder via FTP to "your_site/wp-content/themes/".
Attention!!! Theme will work well on the vast majority of correctly installed and configured WordPress sites without any additional settings. However, on some (very few) hosting configurations you can notice that images on your site are not displayed. If you are experiencing this issue, please follow these steps to fix it:
If above steps did not yield any result, please don’t hesitate to address this issue directly by asking your hosting company. Since this is the common server-related problem, we will not be able to help you!
You can update your theme via FTP or via WordPress. Read the information below for each method. However, the first thing you need to do is download the new theme files from Themeforest.
Whenever you update the theme, a good idea is to backup your current theme folder. Log into your server and make a copy of the "WPDanceLaParis" theme folder located at wp-content > themes. If you are using the Revolution Slider and added custom css, please make a backup of styles because those will be removed when you update. You can also backup your theme options on the backup tab in Appearance > Theme Options.
We notice you should use this environment to test. If there is no problem, you can tranfer to live site.

A WordPress Widget is a small block that performs a specific function. You can add these widgets in sidebars also known as widget-ready areas on your web page.
WordPress widgets were originally created to provide a simple and easy-to-use way of giving design and structure control of the WordPress theme to the user. Widgets can be easily dragged and dropped into a specific widget area. You can find the list of available widgets and widget areas by going to the Appearance » Widgets section in your WordPress dashboard. (wpbeginner.com)
Each Page/Post/Product you create has a full set of options to customize each individual page. Each page opened in your WordPress admin will have a "Page Configuration" / "Post Configuration" / "Product Configuration" Box with all the different settings in it. Some settings will work only if you use a specific template. Below are screenshots of the Page Configuration box.
The list of attributes is customizable:

WPBakery Page Builder is the generator for visual shortcode that you can use to build your layout painlessly without wasting time on writing shortcodes. We built WPBakery Page Builder based on Famous plugin called WPBakery Page Builder by wpbakery. There's one concept/design pattern you should know. In the WPBakery Page Builder editor mode, you'll see "Add element" button, which you should click on or drag to the working canvas, to add content block or row to your page. Clicking on the "Add element" button will show the menu to select content element. Content blocks are divided into categories so that you can filter. Alternatively, you can type the shortcode name to filter down the items instead of search them visually.
It has very simple and intuitive interface, but before starting to build layouts, you need to get accustomed with WPBakery Page Builder documentation: http://kb.wpbakery.com/index.php?title=Visual_Composer.
You can control global settings of WPBakery Page Builder such as disable/enable in a post type and user roles that can use a shortcode. You can find these settings from WordPress "WP-admin > Settings > WPBakery Page Builder".
This options allow you to make update the plugin automatically.
This tab allows you to map your shortcode. Your shortcode will be shown on the list of WPBakery Page Builder elements menu.
To start creating new layout click "BACKEND EDITOR" button on the top left of WYSIWYG (text editor):
WYSIWYG editor change to WPBakery Page Builder canvas. You can work with it as you do with regular WPBakery Page Builder.
If you have a notice of WPBakery Page Builder about the license, you will do nothing. Because we bought this plugin and included it in the theme package. Also you can't enable function for automatic updates of this plugin. But you can use it normally. If it has new version, we will update it for you.
